How It Works
1. Choose Your Track California Collection, Studio Collection, or both!
2. Subscribe as a Founding Member Join during the founding member period to lock in $20/month for life and receive exclusive perks.
3. Anticipate Mark your calendar! Mailings go out around the 15th of each month.
4. Enjoy Open your mailbox to find beautiful art, a thoughtful letter, and a delightful sticker—curated just for you.
5. Display, Frame, or Share Your art, your choice. Frame the prints, display the postcards, or send them to someone you love.
What's Inside Each Month?
The Art
Either a 5x7 fine art print (perfect for standard frames) or a postcard (display it, keep it, or mail it to someone special). The format alternates monthly so you build a diverse collection.
The Sticker
A coordinating art sticker—often featuring my quail illustration! Perfect for your water bottle, laptop, journal, or wherever you need a little beauty.
The Letter
A personal note from me sharing the story behind the art. For the California Collection, you'll learn the history and architecture. For the Studio Collection, you'll get insights into my creative process and inspiration.

Why The Quail?
California's state bird, the California Quail, is the perfect mascot for this mail club. These charming birds are community-oriented (just like us!), adaptable, and quintessentially Californian. Plus, my logo has featured my hand-drawn quail for years—it felt like the natural choice for delivering art with heart. 💙
About the Artist
Hi! I'm Priya Ramchandran, the artist behind Priya Originals Art and creator of The Quail Mail Club.
For over 30 years, I've been illustrating the buildings, nature, and beauty around us using my signature gestural style with ink, watercolor, and mixed media. You might know me as the artist behind the Greater Sacramento Alphabet and the award-winning Amador County Alphabet.
The Quail Mail Club is my way of sharing these discoveries with you—one beautiful piece of mail at a time. I personally select, print, and package each mailing, and I create the content for every letter, signing each one by hand.
This isn't mass-produced. It's personal. It's art made with intention and sent with care.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will I receive my first mailing? Your first mailing ships approximately 2 weeks after you subscribe (with the inaugural mailing going out around the 15th of January, 2026/15th of April, 2026 for the California and Studio collections, respectively) then around the 15th of each subsequent month.
What is a founding member? Founding members are the original subscribers who join during the launch period. For California Collection, that's anyone who subscribes by December 31, 2025. For Studio Collection, it's anyone who subscribes by March 31, 2026. Founding members lock in a special rate of $20/month for life (versus the regular $24/month), plus receive exclusive bonus items.
What happens after the founding member deadline? New subscribers will pay $24/month and will not receive the founding member welcome packet or exclusive sticker. Founding members who subscribed during the launch period keep their $20/month rate forever.
Can I become a founding member of both tracks? Absolutely! Subscribe to both before their respective deadlines and you'll be a founding member of both, locking in $20/month for each subscription.
Can I choose which art I receive? Nope—that's part of the magic! Each month is a curated surprise. Trust the process and enjoy the anticipation.
Can I subscribe to both tracks? Yes! Many members do. You'll receive two mailings per month—one from each track.
Is this a gift subscription option? Yes! Just enter the recipient's address at checkout and I'll include a special gift announcement in their first mailing. Gift subscriptions purchased during the founding member period receive founding member benefits.
Can I pause or cancel? Yes, you can pause or cancel anytime with no penalty. Founding members keep their locked-in $20/month rate when they return from a pause (though not after a cancellation, sorry!)
Is shipping included? No...shipping to the destination is calculated at check out.
Do you ship internationally? Currently shipping within the US. International shipping may be added in the future—email me at priya@priyaoriginalsart.com to be notified!
